Our approach to proof

The Thirsty Nomad is water-science led. Where we make a performance claim, we aim to connect it to recognised testing standards and accredited laboratories rather than marketing language. Independent testing matters most for microbiological safety, so that's where we focus our verification.

Standards we work to

AS/NZS 4276.7 - the Australian/New Zealand standard method for water microbiology testing.
NATA-accredited laboratories - we use accredited Australian labs such as Symbio Laboratories for microbiology testing.
Quantum Disinfection™ - the disinfection technology used in our point-of-use purifiers.

Published product testing

Our 5-in-1 Point of Use Purifier uses Quantum Disinfection™ nanotechnology and is described with a 0.01 micron ultrafiltration rating. The disinfection performance and microbiology results published for this product reflect testing carried out under the standards above.

Full lab certificates and the exact wording of results are available on request. For the new 6-in-1 home purifier, detailed PFAS, chloramine and microbiological results will be published once the final approved testing wording is confirmed.
